Tape saturates. Circuits drift. Reverb tails dissolve into grain. Every piece of hardware in this chain introduces some form of decay, and the instinct in modern production is to correct for it — to clean, to restore, to preserve the original signal.
This project does the opposite. The decay is the signal. The warmth people associate with analog is really just controlled failure, and failure is more interesting than perfection.
